LEGO MANIA
I LOVED playing with any kind of building blocks when I was about 10 years old and up, so when I went Christmas shopping for my mother for 2006 and she wanted me to find Lego toys for a great-nephew, my passion was renewed!!! (To say the least)
Since I had gotten rid of my Lego collection from YEARS ago at a garage sale, I started to "collect" again. I found the neatest web sites that sell used Legos and I was having a blast - after all, I was working again after not working for 6 years and I figured I had the spending money, but that's a whole nother story.
Anyway - I think I have about $600 worth of Legos, but they are all for building houses and autos - none of this new space or transformer stuff for me!! I even have lots of little people (Mini-Figs) that you can change the hair, hats or bodies. COOL!! I guess it's like playing dolls again. We build houses and build the furniture to go inside, take photos, then when time to take it apart, I LOVE organizing it all over again in the special containers I bought.
My granddaughter, Lexy, calls me the Lego Freak, but that's ok - it's a compliment to me! It's really fun getting several granddaughters in here and just having a Lego Party!
Guess what!! My mother even found the American Bricks I had as a child! What a great surprise to know she had kept them all these years!!
